Pastor Mary Beamish
Associate Pastor
These days Pastor Mary enjoys the perks of retirement: summer golf and gardening, long winter holidays in warm places, and the joy of watching grandchildren grow and mature. However, God’s call on her life as Physician of the Soul ignores aging and never takes a holiday.
Mary’s University of Toronto training and first profession as a Physical and Occupational Therapist brought a wide range of work experience both in and out of hospital settings. Marriage brought moves to Ajax, Montreal and
Calgary and her rehabilitation career came to an end with 2 children and family life on an acreage outside of Calgary. Then, drawn into a life with Christ through the close fellowship of a Women’s Prayer Group and a deep dive into the Anglican Renewal Movement, she really changed course.
With a firm belief that broken and hurting souls are eternally more important than broken bones and disease, she followed the Spirit’s lead back to school, eventually graduating from the University of Calgary, qualifying as a Chartered Psychologist and setting up a private practice as a Christian Psychologist, hosted by St. Luke’s Anglican Church.
1998 brought even more change. Church of the Messiah was formed
under the spiritual cover of Bishop Robert Wise and the Communion of
Evangelical Episcopal Churches with Pastor Chris Jukes as Senior Pastor.
Mary was ordained and took on th responsibilities of Counselling, Pastoral
Care and supervision of Home Groups. Over the next 10 years the Lord
used some very precious women and specialized Prayer Ministry training,
to deepen her understanding of childhood trauma and His healing ways, which eventually required her to step away from Psychology as a profession. Gratefully, Holy Spirit’s training never ends.
At Faith Calgary, Mary continues prayer ministry with a few deeply traumatized women, but more often than not, you will find her on the outside of the building digging in the gardens or standing on a ladder with a paint brush in hand. She also leads a weekly, online bible study and heads up a team that prepares the Sanctuary for Worship Services and attends to décor in the building. Currently, Mary serves as Secretary of Faith Calgary Council.

Kelly Kedkiw
Pastor in Training
Hi there, my name is Kelly Fedkiw I am fifty years old, and I have been walking with the Lord since I was
thirteen, I have felt the Lord leading me into the ministry in my early twenties to begin this journey I
went to Christ for the nations for two years in Surrey B.C where I graduated with a degree in Basic
Theology of the Bible. After coming back to Calgary, the Lord had me go to Alberta Bible Collage where I
studied for four years with their pace program, and I graduated with a Bachelor of arts in Ministry and
Leadership. Now I am a Pastor in training at Faith Calgary Lutheran Church. I am currently studying at
the Institute of Lutheran Theology to get my certificate of Pastoral Ministry. Also, I have adopted my two
great nephews Sawyer and Cole. I also work at Calgary Learning Institute where I watch many people prepare
for exams for their workplaces. God Bless.
